Rosario-born artist Fernando Traverso gifted me a canvas featuring a painting of one of the “Bicicletas de Rosario” (Bicycles of Rosario), a project he has been working on for years after his partner was forcibly disappeared by the Argentine military dictatorship. The bicycle, which used to stand in front of the meeting place with friends as a code that everything was fine, one day vanished. For Fernando, it is a symbol of movement and progress. It also represents the 350 reported disappeared people from the city of Rosario. He assigned the number 03.252 to the canvas he gave me.
