ALLIUM LUMINISCENTE

ARTIST RESIDENCY AT UEB RESEARCH LABORATORIES
This artist residency project addresses plant biodiversity in Colombia through a dialogue between electronic arts and BioCop, an ongoing research project by the Molecular Parasitology Laboratory at El Bosque University.
These machines are presented as imaginative vehicles for preserving information about Colombian medicinal plants—information that should be saved and used not only for commercial pharmaceutical purposes, but also as part of the cultural and sociological heritage of different peoples.
