EXOMITOSIS refers to the impact of NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission, which was deliberately crashed into the asteroid Dimorphos to alter its trajectory. Conceived as a test for future planetary defense strategies, this mission marks a symbolic turning point: for the first time in human history, the course of a celestial body has been intentionally modified. In other words, for the first time, the design of the heavens has been altered.
